Ice Cream Sandwich

Version 4 of the Android OS is called Ice Cream Sandwich and it’s the latest version of the OS at the moment. Ice Cream Sandwich supports both tablets and smartphones and it’s a huge milestone in the development of Android. There has been several new features introduced in this version that will enable developers to get the most out of this operating system, taking the tablet experience to a whole new level, both in working environment as well as gaming and home use.

It’s a bit strange that several months after the release of the Ice Cream Sandwich there are still not very many tablets available at the market with version 4 installed, however, this is bound to change very soon. A number of leading manufacturers have announced the upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich for their most popular tablets so their owners can look forward to that. And if you are buying a new Android tablet right now make sure it has Ice Cream Sandwich installed or there is a commitment by the manufacturer that the upgrade will be available in the near future for that particular device.
