Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 was released in September 2011. It features 1 GHz dual core processor, resolution of 1280×800 pixels, 1 GB of RAM, a GPS unit and a front and back facing cameras. It runs on Honeycomb. If is not as flashy as some of the other Samsung devices out there with good hardware specifications that are not over the top. But the good news is that it is still a great tablet for a reasonable price.
Sony Tablet S was also released in September 2011 and it features a 9.4 inch display with resolution 1280×800 pixels. It is powered by the 1 GHz dual core processor, it has 1 GB of RAM, 16 or 32 GB of flash memory (depending on the model). Although the Sony Tablet S is not on the top of the competition hardware wise, it is still a great tablet that uses its cool design to provide some added value. Also the price is acceptable considering the Sony products are often a bit pricey.
